engaged advanced practice provider to join the advanced Cardio-Onc
group within the cardiovascular specialty division, including
responsibilities in both outpatient and inpatient setting. This
position will be required to order medications and procedures
within their scope of practice.ResponsibilitiesEssential
FunctionsAssess the physical condition of assigned patients by
performing physical examinations and obtaining medical
histories.Formulates the medical plan based on patient's
condition.Consults with other providers as needed regarding patient
health care plans and treatment.Orders, interprets, and evaluates
diagnostic tests to identify and assess the patient's health care
needs.Orders consultations and interacts with members of other
specialty medical teams.Initiates and/or recommends medical drug
therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatment and
procedures in accordance with approved protocols/policy.Complies
with medical records policies regarding the complete and accurate
documentation of patient care. Initiates and maintains required
records and legal documents.Participates in quality improvement
activities.Counsel patients, families, and significant others about
health and illness, and promote health maintenance.Evaluates,
plans, implements, and re-evaluates the care of individuals
requiring emergency measures.Participates in continuing medical
education activities.Assists in the collection of data for research
projects.Problem-SolvingAbility to perform the essential functions
of the job as outlined above.Demonstrate clinical competence and
in-depth knowledge of specialty area.Demonstrate leadership,

appropriate to the population served.Minimum
QualificationsRequiredLicensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
in the State of Utah.PreferredCertification in ACLS / BLS / NRP /
ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging
criteria.Utah State prescriptive privileges.Licensure is obtained
by completing a Master's degree in Nursing or equivalency (the only
equivalency to the Master's degree is current licensure as a Nurse
Practitioner) and a National Certification which requires the
successful completion of a nationally accredited examination.UHPPM
1-56 requires that newly hired non-physician providers apply for
credentialing and privileging at the time of hire.This position is
patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. We
