Job Description:

When you join us, you'll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of "helping people live the healthiest lives possible."

About this role:
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. This APP will join our Pediatric Critical Care team supporting patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The APP will be based at our newly built Primary Children's Miller Family Campus located in Lehi, Utah, with expectation to float some of their time at our Salt Lake City campus.

Our Critical Care APPs care for pediatric patients (newborn to early adulthood) in both pediatric intensive care and cardiovascular intensive care units. As the quaternary care center for pediatric care in the Intermountain West, we see a wide variety of the most severely ill and injured patients, with referrals reaching us often from as far away as Anchorage, Alaska. Our APPs work in a collaborative nature with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, while having opportunity to work at the top of their scope of licensure - participating in formulation of plans of care, conducting procedures such as ECMO, intubations, setting chest tubes, placement of mechanical circulatory support devices, among others.

  • Our unit is open 24/7, so APPs work a rotating schedule including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts (typically 12 hours in length).
  • During respiratory season, additional shifts & income may be available to the provider, dependent on patient volumes & department needs.
  • APP will be eligible for shift differentials ranging from 10-50% when working evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, or extra shifts.
  • Relocation assistance available. How we'll support you:

We care about your well-being, which is why we provide our caregivers a generous benefits package. In addition, we offer paid time off, license reimbursement, malpractice insurance coverage, and an annual CME allowance to support your continuous growth and development. Learn more about our comprehensive benefits package and our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

    What you'll bring:
    • Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
    • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
    • Utah State Controlled Substance License.
    • Federal DEA Certificate II through V
    • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
    • PALS certification
    • 2+ years of Pediatric ICU clinical experience About us:

Intermountain Health is a model health system by providing extraordinary care and superior service at an affordable cost.
