RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:Under general direction, provides leadership and direction to local Market HVAC Install Managers and HVAC S&F Complex Delivery Managers. Works with Region Lead Customer Operations Associates (COAs) and individuals from the Major Projects team, Finance, Purchasing, Procurement, Market General Managers, and Other Groups in supporting and implementing business processes, initiatives and strategies required to increase the effectiveness of the field Systems organization. Supports the development, deployment and execution of strategies, programs, processes, and tools across the entire Systems Business Portfolio to achieve the objectives, consistent with profitable growth, and market share. Deploys and maintains standardized processes, tools, systems, technology and support for both the HVAC and Complex S&F field Systems Teams. Provides management level reporting and feedback, to maximize customer satisfaction, improve HVAC and Complex S&F Systems Business productivity, asset management and profitability. Effectively supports recruitment, development and retention of employees to support the Systems Business operations goals and objectives. INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:

• Supports the capacity planning and staffing of the Field Installation team. Supports the professional development and adherence to best business practices of the HVAC Install Managers and HVAC S&F Complex Delivery Managers . Establishes team objectives and manages team efforts to achieve assigned productivity. Drives compliance to the JCI Safety Program for employees and subcontractors.
• Support the HVAC Install Managers and HVAC S&F Complex Delivery Managers with forecasting and actualization of project revenue and executed margin against forecast/plans, ensuring workforce levels are appropriate across the Region, and provide coaching and developing of teams in all areas of performance.
• Assists the Director for HVAC Install to effectively deploy SOPs, develop training, support cross-functional initiatives, and execute systems strategies and objectives to improve operating metrics
• Assists the Director for HVAC Install in coaching and training HVAC and Complex S&F field installation management on the successful execution of the Systems strategies and objectives.
• Assists the Director for HVAC Install to effectively plan for future operational needs, (resource training, purchasing / vendor price negotiations, tools, and future Systems offerings).
• Participates as a member of the BSNA Function staff for special projects and continued improvement programs for the Systems Organization within North America.PRINCIPAL DUTIES:Utilizing financial data to diagnose business strengths and weaknesses and identify the implications for potential strategies; keeping a financial perspective in the forefront when making strategic decisions. Assists in the development of strategic operating plans for the Systems Business that aligns with Building Systems North America (BSNA) goals and visions. Coordinates with BSNA Systems leaders, gathers and organizes project information for presentations and financial return on investment, and support and directs the daily activities of local market HVAC Install Managers and HVAC S&F Complex Delivery Managers in the support of initiatives, projects and/or operations, along with deployments. Serves as an interface between the field organization and Function in the identification of required support functions needed to enable the translation of market needs and opportunities into operations strategies leading to increased revenue and margin. Under direction, helps share the best practice strategies and results that will enable HVAC Systems to achieve business goals and objectives. Support the BSNA efforts to improve the S&OP process within the HVAC domain Implements plans to comply and monitor standards for HVAC Systems operations. Audits the effectiveness of systems operations and suggests changes to improve performance. Drives and participates in Pre-bid Review meetings, Backlog Review meetings, and all other necessary review meetings. Support the review of vendor pricing/bids and estimates for accuracy. Analyzes operations processes and provides recommendations for improvements. Analyzes systems operations to identify potential vendors - tools - customers - markets. Maintains contact with Function Leaders to enable ongoing evaluation of services, products, programs and strategies to meet the Fields needs. This may include local market visits, customer visits, evaluating surveys and the development of specific measurements of effectiveness. Drives the support the use of the BSNA HVAC Systems field business tools. Executes other managerial responsibilities, i.e., supporting recruiting and retention of Field Installation and support staff. Prepares and delivers clear performance expectations and supports performance reviews and development plans for local HVAC Install Managers and HVAC S&F Complex Delivery Managers. Adheres to Johnson Controls safety programs and policies.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent work experience. Seven or more years of progressively more responsible operations management experience in the Industry including five or more years of direct management experience. Previous sales and/or Account Management experience desired as well as industry networking. High-level competence in written and verbal communication. Strong presentation skills and proficiency in speaking to large audiences. Able to lead and direct diverse teams. Able to travel up to 50% of time.
